I had some reservations about allowing my first book to go 'Select' on KDP. This means anyone with a Kindle membership can read the book essentially for free and some gratuity might be generated for the author on looking up a page or two. There are however, as advertised by Kindle, 1,000, 000 books to choose from, and more coming every day, so if by chance yours was picked up by a reader , a bit like winning the lottery, what? Still , it's a good place to park your book if you're busy creating other ones. My take... You could pay to advertise on Amazon--- and still not get any readers . Perhaps going this route s is the lesser of two evils when you self publish, and at least you are also included in an international market .
