Rose of Sharon Festivus Weekend Aug/2026
Every year, since I have about 25+ self-seeded Rose of Sharons, I put on a small Festivus for friends to enjoy -- hopefuly a 'blooming good time' with food and drink. I prefer the 'doubles' that look a bit like carnations in pink and white and bluey purple , but there are lovely 'bouquets' of mixed colours throughout the garden. Yes, they are invasive, but softy here finds it difficult to slay such beauty although a good weedwhacker is one's best defence against the onslaught
