Sadly, a favourite brother is succumbing to liver failure, brought on by gall bladder/liver cancer, only discovered in February of this year , as Stage 4 when going in for gall bladder stone surgery . Imagine being sewn up, without the removals, and being told that you had 6 to 12 months to live 'with treatment'. Then imagine again, after a biopsy result that took 4 weeks , that the cancer had spread to the lympth system, and that effectively the patient was in liver failure and therefore not a candidate for chemotherapy, targeted immunology etc etc . And then imagine again, with only pain management for treatment and (chosen) palliative treatment at home with a devoted wife , that you are advised you don't have months, probably not weeks even. Can you imagine all that ? Because with all my creative and imaginative powers, I CAN'T !
