A beloved Brother died only a few days after the last entry in May, brave and humourous to the end , a fun youthful companion and an interesting, intelligent, gracious good man . Always will be missed.... but , thankfully, I'm the resilient sort and found that despite grief and a summer long heatwave , I mitigated with zenning out on a floatie in an 8' pool-ette (don't need a massive pool it appears); pruned the heck out of my garden (sorry, Rose of Sharons, to take it out on you); fished and kayaked/canoed a few times; and got on , finally, doing the last edit pre-proof of my anthology. Reading and concentrating on these stories with fresh eyes was amusing and satisfying . They've served their purpose, if only for me but of course, one hopes might do the same for some one else i.e. entertain, enlighten , educate .....
