February Index Falling... Feb 6 2024

No, I'm not talking the fiscal market. So far we have had a non-winter in SW Ontario weather-wise although I am experiencing a Winter Writing lassitude correspondingly. Somehow when the winds are howling, and blizzards are blitzing it's easier to hunker down and get on with it. The stumbling block at the moment is arranging the short stories in the forthcoming volume i.e. perhaps according to subject matter e.g. crime, personal introspection, comedy etc or mayhap a heavier story followed by a lighter one -- there are too many avenues to choose from it would appear so this week I will just enter them into the preliminary set up and shuffle about once there if necessary for 'flow'. I was looking forward to this volume , as most of the stories written over time were almost ready to just plop in place and I was anticipating 'easy peasy' but I suppose I was a bit too optimistic. I wanted to separate tales originally by the odd poem or cartoon too, for something 'completely different' but I'll have to manage the index first -- the fun stuff can come later . (I'm being facetious as imaging in these books is the bane of my existence ...) It all rests wtih the Writing Gods I guess, so TBA .
