I started in June this year playing catchup due to disastrous loss of an MS file this year in January. Hopefully I can back on track for writing only in the Winter in 2023 and saving Summer for seasonal pursuits. Howeve, I was quite good keeping to my 4 page minimum a day up until now , accumulating 175 pages basically by middle of September of 'Stream of Conscious' plot i.e. just writing , no looking back or revising . Time frames, descriptives , grammar -- all that can be done at the editing stage which I hope to due in October and November , with Final Edit and release of a 250 page MS in December again.
Well, that is the plan. But I find the nearer the end of phase 1 looms, the lazier I get . "Oh, I've got plenty of time to finish according to schedule." Really? Interruptions like Fall house and garden maintenance, the last good entertaining opportunities, taking advantage of swimming and kayaking to summer's (extended) but bitter end ... And if there isn't an excuse , likely one can be manufactured...
The point: STICK TO YOUR PLAN no matter what , or you'll regret the consequences.
