Suggest if you don't want to give your current banking details to KDP, don't bother either with the cheque option as who knows when they issue, (or if they even will:) You can look up on KDP reports to see your totals but suspect they're not eager for you to adopt the latter option due to the administration involved (I believe there is an $8.00 admin fee to be deducted first ). If you're security minded , probably the best scenario is to open a basic savings account at some OTHER banking institution which isn't your main financial services provider. That account will make it easy to track sales and income for tax purposes, and won't be linked to your preferred banking institution, should AMAZON be hacked etc. Try to find a bank that gives you a small credit or perk just for opening an account with them, but make sure it's not an account that requires a certain balance to be maintained in it-- defeats the purpose :)
