It's all going 'swimingly'...

... before my eyes . I have writer's 'hangover'. For about the hundredth time I've had to re-read and edit small things in the KDP proof I received in my word document, some things I might have missed, but also some things , like quotation marks starting a line that should have framed the sentence above, obviously due to the 'framing' in the print program.

Then, when you upload to KDP to preview , you can't always be sure you're seeing the exact version if you upload the docx. version, especially in thumbnail view . It is far better to upload a PDF version to keep KDP programming from adding or deleting a page, that sort of thing.

In any event sent away for another proof ( since this is done in the States, the cost to me is mainly in the delivery ) and when that came , realized changes that I made using section break instead of page break, to try to have new chapters 'formally' start on the right hand page , had resulted in pagination starting at the beginning of EACH new chapter. You can imagine the amount of torn out hair littering the floor at this point. Corrected this program and sent off for what I hope will be the last proof.
