Two weeks ago I previewed and submitted my MS in Kindle Direct Publishing for a proof copy of the paperback version of my book REUNION. The cover looked quite good but not all the pages were aligned at the top or bottom properly as previously mentioned. I could not figure out how to do this on the Word MS properly , thinking it was related to the footers and header perhaps, when I finally had a Eureka moment. It was the Widows and Orphans feature in Word--make sure the box is unchecked and shows white and empty . Miraculously, everything then literally fell into place, although still had to check over for a few dropped sentences etc.

Today , I've sent for a proof again after doing a preview of the MS again. Hopefully I'll get the new proof paperback shortly and then it's on to publishing it and promotions. Stay tuned for that exploration...
