Blog Fog...

...is sort of like Writer's Block only if you're smart and keep each segment short, and timely (nobody said you had to write a column every day), not so bad :)

Still, if you're doing a weekly blog, coming up with a topic every week shouldn't be too hard if you're continuously writing and reading yourself, but here's a reason to do it : sharing.

If in your literary travels you find something of benefit to yourself, it's likely someone else will find something enlightening in your tip, link to a website, opinion, research etc etc. Why keep it to yourself ? We're not all going to be the next Homer, Raymond Chandler, J.K. Rowling but someone might be, so bask in their reflected glory if you were the one to point them in a particular direction, gave them a leg up somehow, comforted or cajoled them toward success. Wouldn't that be a measure of your own personal success, regardless of public acknowledgement of your own material (or lack of) ---just pay it forward and take some satisfaction in that.... .
