Organizing your 'Writing'Computer Folder

My desktop is populated by way too many documents and files . When I tidy it up , it's nice to have a centralized spot for everything---the main folder called WRITING. Have a shortcut to this on your PC (and don't forget to back it up -- I have 4 inchTrillion GB portable hard drive and I also use a 128 GB memory stick for convenience in taking with me when necessary).
These are examples of some subfolders I find useful:
Rough Ideas
Writing Contests
Submissions
Writing Tips and Ideas
Author Bios (various word counts and information)
Short Stories
Book Manuscripts
Poems
Writing Correspondence and Contacts
Research
AND,
Rejections (What, to who, date etc)
Anyway, you get the drift. An uncluttered mind can give itself over entirely to the creative endeavour.
