This doesn't have much to do with writing books per se, but every year I'm one of those who adds an electronic quote to my e-mail signature .Some people find this insufferably pretentious. I don't. When I see someone else's , it often gives me insight into the author of the e-mail, and I feel more a-mused, phrasically provoked, curiosity invoked as opposed to be intelligence-abused. In any event, here's a sampling of ones I've used in the past :
“Taking a leap of faith demands courage and an imagination capable of creating an ending others may be wholly unable to visualize—just jump!”
A compilation of various memorable sayings (2019-2020)
The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists. Charles Dickens (2017-2018)
The bad news: time flies. The good news--you're the pilot.'- Michael Althsuler (2015-2016)
‘The afternoon knows what the morning never suspected’ Robert Frost ( 2014-2015)
'A white crane
Flying,
Flew across a black cloud.'
Unknown (2013-2014)
Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.
Albert Einstein ( 2011-2012)
So do any of these give you some insight ? . The one chosen for 2019 is a bit of an amalgum of other sayings , so the only name I could honestly attach to it is mine. The point however is just that, in trolling for an acceptable signature phrase for this year, I felt if it made me feel inspired, it might others as well. AND writing is writing , whether its a sentence or a whole book.
